- Safely operate company vehicle. - Will train/rotate through various areas (e.g. Kitchen, Pack Room, CCRTE, etc.) to ensure a clear understanding of all food safety and quality functions throughout the facility- Perform inspections of incoming ingredients and verify that ingredient statements are correct- Routinely conduct label verifications for accuracy- Follow HACCP plan, GMPs, and ensure methods needed to assure food safety and quality are being utilized - Continually works on food defense and allergen cross-contact prevention- Works with HACCP forms, cook (lethality)/chill temperatures, food quality tasting & evaluation- Performs packaging integrity testing, checks quality and verifies finished meal specifications are met- Verifies finished product label checks, including allergens- Inspects lines at pre-op, during meal change, and post-op to protect against allergen cross-contact and ensure food safety- Regularly conducts ATP swabs, modified atmosphere testing, metal detector checks, microbial testing, and pre-shipment reviews- Calibrates thermometers and scales and uses digital thermometers for temperature readings- Completes accurate and timely documentation and record keeping of food processes including HACCP forms, weight control, corrective actions, etc- Other duties as assigned
- Monitor 100% of inbound/outbound product to ensure inventory integrity and all required information is accurately captured prior to further movement throughout the supply chain. - Identify root causes of data integrity gaps and work cross-functionally to implement correct action processes to include coordinating with Finance, Purchasing, Production, and Fulfillment departments regarding inventory, transfer, and replenishment needs- Analyze facility inventory on a regular basis and ensure all critical information is loaded within the system and provide corrective action/resolution on and identified gaps.- Systematically analyze every inventoried item and identify alternative pallet configurations, trends in inbound/outbound distribution to increase network efficiency. - Conducts weekly and monthly counts for all products in the facility. Mom's Meals has a Fulfillment Supervisor position available on 2nd Shift at our North Jackson, Ohio plant. - Executes daily operations through support of production team, ensuring delays and issues are reduced or eliminated.- Drives productivity improvements through consistent kaizens (Lean initiatives).- Communicates goals and objectives to the production team, ensuring alignment of the team to company goals.- Directs standard work adherence and development throughout the production team through daily audits.- Develops and implements work schedules assure effective and efficient operations.- Coordinates with Inventory team to ensure all materials needs are met, eliminating line slow downs related to materials.- Partners with our Food Safety team to ensure we are meeting FDA, USDA and General Manufacturing Practice requirements.- Leads production team quality improvement efforts.- Supports all Safety Team efforts to continuously improve practices and facilities.- Conducts performance appraisals. - Prepare, Cook, and/or Plate a portion of orders as they pass on the line- Keep with the pace of the surrounding environment- Produce a quality work output on a consistent basis- Adhere to strict safety, quality, and production standards including food sanitation (GMP) guidelines- Work is done inside a kitchen environment that is free from outside weather conditions but maintains a temperature between 34-40 degrees
- Review daily schedule and pick lists to identify, scan and move all kitchen ingredients from dry, refrigerated and frozen storage space to the kitchen department- Interact with Kitchen personnel to retrieve items needed- Review comps & sub-comps and look of the food to ensure proper items have been pulled as many items look alike- Monitor usage and ensure the department always has the ingredients ready for production- Run pallet inverter as necessary to remove wooden pallets from food and replace with plastic pallets. If pallet inverter is down, this task will be done by hand stacking- Follow GMP’s and food safety rules including maneuvering through the kitchen in a way which does not cause cross-contamination
- Top priority is machine maintenance and repair but will also be responsible for a broad range of other maintenance activities- Install, conduct preventive maintenance, troubleshoot, and maintain proper machine performance- Will work with natural gas fired equipment, 480V, 3PH electrical, as well as ammonia systems and boiler- Diagnose root cause of downtime or quality issues and make repairs to correct the issue- Facilitate scheduled changeovers and repairs with production staff- Recommend and initiate changes to improve equipment operating performance- Create and supply parts lists for repairs & backup, and suggest purchase items- Maintain documents related to maintenance, tests, modifications, and repairs- May train Machine Operators and others on proper set-up and adjustment of equipment- Perform facilities maintenance including general construction (light plumbing, electrical, and carpentry)
- Unload trucks per receiving schedule or as they arrive to the facility if time permits- Pull outbound orders for shipments to include full pallets or case pick from an order pull sheet- Pull purchase order and/or bill of lading to ensure product received matches order requirements- Place both in folder to be collected by inventory / buyer- Complete receiving- Record # of pieces received- Record temperatures as indicated- Capture all required information and receive in RF scan gun into system- Ensure product is labeled correctly with required labels- Store products in the designated warehouse and/or cooler location- Complete walk-through to ensure warehouse products returned are re-stocked into appropriate areas- Complete inventories based on schedules required- Ensure product at end of each shift is at minimum quantity close to zero as possible in forward pick locations in the cooler- Ensure pick locations in Freezer are filled and product staged and ready for next shift operation- Watch product use-by dates and freeze-by dates and inform Manager of any items that need to be of concern- Monitor and evaluate the quality of the towers leaving/going to pick room. Bring any issues of concern to the attention of the supervisor- Keep warehouse organized and clean- Sweep out areas at the end of each shift- Ensure all pallet locations are clean of trash and extra empty pallets etc.- Other projects / duties as assigned
- Handle inbound and outbound customer service calls with our clients placing their meal order- Address questions, and provide exceptional customer service- Input order information into the appropriate client order screen- Document all conversations with client into client information database- Ensure all assigned clients are contacted and have an order on file- Contact case managers via telephone, email, and/or fax when a special situation arises regarding one of their clients- Work quickly and efficiently without making the client feel rushed
• Available to work a variety of shifts including days, evening, nights and weekends due to varying freight volumes. • Efficiently sort, handle, load and unload palletized and non-palletized freight using appropriate motorized and manual equipment, including pallet jack, forklift and by hand as needed. • Must be able to operate stand up forklifts primarily as these will be used the majority of the time• Utilize mobile hand held devices for tracking shipments. • Safely climb in and out of trailers. • Lift freight and other objects of various shapes, sizes and weights (up to 50 lbs. frequently). • Secure freight inside trailers using appropriate tools and supplies (e.g. pallets, straps, rope). • Safety walk and stand for extended periods of time on a loading dock that has potential to be below freezing and may become slippery. • Safely reach, bend, climb, push, pull, twist, squat and kneel as necessary to perform the job duties. • Verify and complete required documentation and reports. • Adhere to company safety policies. • Frequent contact with co-workers and supervisors; fast-paced and deadline oriented. • Safely work in cold weather condition. • Perform other duties as assigned. • Prompt, daily attendance at assigned work location.
